Book Description

A man with no future . . .

When Dr. Elliott Drake wakes from a mysterious fifty-year sleep, the world as he knew it is gone. Cities are now desolate, and civilization is controlled by deadly immortals. Stranger still is Elliott's extraordinary new "gift"—he has the power to heal, but it comes with fatal consequences.

A woman with a past . . .

Jade barely escaped the immortals and is now hell-bent on revenge. She trusts no one . . . until Elliott. His piercing gaze and tempting touch shatter her defenses, but the handsome doctor seems to have dangerous secrets of his own. Is it safe to trust him with her heart?

If they are to survive in this dark new world, Jade and Elliott must work together to fight the forces that take them beyond danger.

Beyond desire. . .

Book Review

In Beyond the Night the world is no longer the same after mankind suffers massive causalities and continents are destroyed by an unknown force. In this new world, the few human survivors gathered what they can find to make it the uncertainty of the world they know live in. Other creatures, the Ganga and other known specimens nicknamed the ‘strangers’ are slowly out to destroy the human populations. These strangers objective is yet to be revealed. Few have survived to live the tale about them... One survivor, Jade has lived more horror than any human should ever have to deal with. Jade uses whatever it took to escape and heads to the human town/community of Envy.

Dr. Elliot and his comrades wake up from a long sleep to find the world they knew is long gone. They have no clue who, what and why they are the only ones to survive when millions have perished. Elliot and crew manage to get things set up and try to find their way to Envy. Elliot is hoping to find survivors old enough to tell them what happened fifty years old ago.

Elliot and with of the men stumble onto a group of teens being attacked by gangas... Elliot and group save them and find another unconscious hero. Luckily for the men, the teens are from Envy and lead them back to their town.

Elliot has the gift of healing... He can heal people but at huge risk to himself. He doesn’t think twice about healing Jade. Elliot cannot help but have strong feelings for the fiery red head Jade.

Jade and Elliot are drawn to each other but keep their feelings to themselves.

Jade leads Elliot and his men to the one man that can clue them in on what really happened all those years ago.

Elliot and men soon realize that the destruction caused on mankind was caused by a secret society whose intent to become immortal.

Quentin, one of Elliot’s groups realizes that it may have been in fact his father and fanatic cult responsible for the hell on earth.

The world have may no longer be the same, but for these small group of humans, they’ll be damned to let it happened again.

This dark and twisty paranormal romance is one hell of a thrill ride. I can see the humans not laying down and fighting for their survival.

I couldn’t help but love the suspense scenes and what wonderful way the author managed to connect each of the main characters background together to fit this story.

The humans like Jade and Elliot had lot to overcome and kept holding on. They soon realize that nothing could change the course of destiny... Jade and Elliot belong together whether they knew it or not. And the best part where Elliot told Jade straight out that he was a one woman man. I can only see the series get even more exciting in the upcoming additions with Simon and Quentin's stories.

I give Beyond the Night 4 out of 5 Stars rating
