All the Byrons are just as “mad, bad and dangerous to know” as their famous non-relation…but now the time has come for the eldest son to marry…

Edward Byron, Duke of Clybourne, has everything a man in Society needs…except a wife. Duty requires he wed, so he decides that a long-standing arranged marriage will do nicely. He knows his bride is beautiful, biddable and bright enough to run the his household and nursery. He expects his betrothed, Lady Claire Marsden, will be thrilled with his decision—unfortunately, she’s not!

Claire has longed for Edward since she was sixteen, but how can he expect her to agree to his proposal when he barely knows her and doesn’t love her? Nothing will convince her to accept a loveless marriage. And so she begins a battle of outrageous resistance, forcing Edward to learn that he must lose his heart in order to win his bride.

Book Review:

Claire has long wanted to marry for love and won’t accept anything less than her future husband’s love. She seeks to break her engagement to Lord Bryon at any means possible.. She's so hot and she feels he's so cold. Claire doesn't think Edward will ever love so she begins operation break up 1811.

Lord Edward Bryon is finally coming to claim his fiancee Lady Claire. He doesn’t have clue what Claire has in mind for him.

He soon realizes Claire’s intentions and shows his future bride that two can play at that game.

Edward is not that stuffy aristocat that Claire thinks he is. Claire overhears Edward with a lady with an questionable reputation. She has it with the people of life trying to control her.

Claire tries to use the most outragious antics to dissuade Edward from wanting to continue with his plans to marry her. She has no clue that with each new antics its just getting Edward to fall for her. He can’t help but want to tame his lady and seduce her as she tries to drive him away.

Claire is a force to be reckoned with but she has met her match in Edward.

I love the sparks and fire that heat up the pages between Edward and Claire. Not to mention those naughty spankies, lol!

Can't help but love the way Edward teases Claire and the way she gets under his skin. There's just something about Claire, Edward can't stop but thinking about her. The way she moves him like no one has ever had. Will Claire realize what she can stand to lose if Edward does break up their engagement.

Claire doesn’t know how to feel when Edward ups the ante with each seducing touch. Can I say that I love Edward and no, I am not talking about a certain vampire either. And Claire loved each and one of antics especially those that went wrong.

The only thing that bother me about this novel was that if only the heroine Claire would act her age and talk to Edward from the very beginning but then again, we wouldn’t have this amazing tale to read if she did that.

I am so glad that I took a chance on At the Duke’s Pleasure. Its is one hot and thrilling historical romance that is going to heat up plenty of readers cold nights. I definitely look forward to reading more about the Bryons Series.

I gave At The Duke's Pleasure a 5 Star rating.
