Author Appreciation Day #2 - John Locke

I missed the first day of Author Appreciation and started late but for my first author appreciation promo I dedicate it the amazing and talented John Locke.. Not only is he a great author but a wonderful person as well. So John this promo is for you. Don't forget to read all and check the end of the promo for a special giveaway!

I am sharing with you all a press release of John's latest novel - the 3rd novel in the Donovan Creed series:

Kentucky author John Locke brings back his colorful professional assassin/hero Donovan Creed in the novella Saving Rachel, the third book in the series that includes Lethal People and its sequel, Lethal Experiment. Saving Rachel was just released (and is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble)

In Saving Rachel, we meet Sam Case, a cocky weasel and hyper-logical genius who has developed a computer program that hides money for the world’s most lethal people. He is also having an affair with Karen Vogel, a stunning beauty who’s way out of his league. Sam thinks he’s got it all—trophy wife Rachel, multi-million-dollar bank account, luxury car, suburban mansion—and that his carefully crafted life is totally under his control. But the very morning Sam consummates his affair with Karen he is kidnapped by gangsters and forced to make logic-defying decisions, such as choosing between his wife and mistress, where the one he rejects must die. On a day that promised to be the best of his life, Sam has been reduced in status to that of a rat trying to escape a death maze. As his circumstances become increasingly desperate, Sam is forced to accept the fact that his IQ can’t save his loved ones. He reluctantly turns to the one person in the world he believes can help him: professional assassin Donovan Creed.

Locke explains Donovan Creed this way: "Creed is like the oversized dog you see in the pound that nobody wants. Against your better judgment, you take him home and he becomes your worst nightmare. But just as you're about to send him back, he saves your life or does something so endearing you can't bear to lose him. You're forced to love him, flaws and all."

Kirkus Discoveries calls Saving Rachel "a frenetic, mile-a-minute thriller. Will remind readers of a Hollywood blockbuster full of shakes, rattles and a high-pitched roar."

CK Webb, of Webb Weaver Book Reviews raves: “John Locke came out with guns blazing on this one! Mr. Locke used every trick in the book plus some new ones and I was mesmerized. I absolutely could not put this book down and even found myself laughing out loud more than a few times. Saving Rachel is the ultimate adventure with kick-in-the-backside action and I would highly recommend it to everyone. Make it a point to pick up this 'must read' book soon. You will not be disappointed."

And these are just the tip of the iceberg.  John Locke is the one to look out for in 2010!
