Book description:

As unrest in the Underworld threatens, seven immortal warriors descended from the greatest heroes in all of Ancient Greece may just be mankind’s last hope.

THERON – Dark haired, duty bound and deceptively deadly. He’s the leader of the Argonauts, an elite group of guardians that defends the immortal realm from threats of the Underworld.

From the moment he walked into the club, Casey knew this guy was different. Men like that just didn’t exist in real life—silky shoulder-length hair, chest impossibly broad, and a predatory manner that just screamed dark and dangerous. He was looking for something. Her.

She was the one. She had the mark. Casey had to die so his kind could live, and it was Theron’s duty to bring her in. But even as a 200-year-old descendent of Hercules, he wasn’t strong enough to resist the pull in her fathomless eyes, to tear himself away from the heat of her body.

As war with the Underworld nears, someone will have to make the ultimate sacrifice.

My Thoughts

Acacia Simopolous who is half human and half-Argoleon hasn’t really much excitement in her life with working day and night. In that one moment when Casey comes to the rescue of Theron, everything changes. Neither Casey nor Theron’s lives will ever be the same again. At first sight, she becomes interested in him and has a tinged jealous feeling at the sight of another woman in his arms.

Casey has no idea who has no clue what she really is and what the heck Theron really wants with her. Before she can discover the truth, dangerous enemies are coming out of nowhere like magic to destroy Casey.

Theron is on one mission by his king to capture Casey and bring in. Before he can do that, he finds his wayward fiancée in the same club where Casey works at. On the way back they find more dangerous foes who want to destroy the princess and king to make way to their master to take over.

The Greek and Roman mythology that author Elisabeth Naughton brings into her new series is captivating and held my attention to the very end. Many mythological figures appear in Marked that will enthrall readers with the way Ms. Elisabeth created in her way. Marked is more than just love story. Even though the characters may find love difficult, they will realize it is worth fighting for.

Isadora, who is the other major player in this intriguing love triangle, is warned not to do anything dangerous but she doesn’t care to listen. She’ll do whatever it takes to save the one person that means more to her than anyone else in her world. She may care for and need Theron but not even he can stop her from achieving her goal. Isadora turns to the one person that can help … the underworld God himself, Hades.

With lots of important players in this story.. someone has to make the ultimate sacrifice.

Several of the other characters make Marked very remarkable tale of action, romance and wee bits of comedy make this story well worth the wait to read.

What I wrote is just the tip of the iceberg. There is lot more action and scene stealers in Marked that you have to discover for yourself when you get your copy to read. Marked by Elisabeth Naughton is one damn fine book for readers to add to their collection.

And I yes, I do regret telling you all know about how I let myself go all fan girl squealing over Marked. This is one the rare books that you can’t help but devour in one sitting. Don’t be left out in the cold wondering what you can miss out on… get your copy releasing this April 27th.

I am thrilled that Dorchester will be releasing the sequel to this saga, Entwined coming soon on July 27th.

Elisabeth Naughton is an author that readers just have to keep on eye for her books that if Marked is any indication, will be hit sensation for many years to come.

I rate Marked (Eternal Guardians, Book 1) 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.

Also coming soon from Elisabeth Naughton and a sneak peek to Entwined.

ZANDER — The most feared of all the Eternal Guardians. It’s rumored he can’t be killed, and he always fights like he has nothing to lose. But as a descendant of the famed hero Achilles, he’s got to have a vulnerability… somewhere.

Forces of daemons are gathering and have broken through the barriers of the Underworld. Now more than ever the Eternal Guardians are needed to protect both their own realm and the humans’. Zander can’t afford to think about what might have been with the bewitching physician he once regarded as his soul mate. But with eternity stretching before him, he also can’t fathom spending his life without the one woman who makes him feel most alive. Perhaps he’s found his weakness, after all…
