Thanks to Veronica for asking me to guest at Strictly Reviews. I'm excited to announce HER VAMPIRE HUSBAND is now in bookstores! I'm doing a blog tour through mid-April, and the complete list of stops is at my blog.

Today I thought I'd chat a bit about my sassy werewolf princess heroine, Blu Masterson. She is over-the-top sexy and likes to have fun and doesn't care much what others think about her (unless it's really important).




When I create characters I like to find pictures of movie stars or even models clipped from a magazine to inspire. I wasn't exactly sure what a werewolf princess should look like, so I just started scanning through the magazines I had when I stumbled on this gorgeous pic of Angelina Jolie. Wow. She screams sass and spunk. I had the image for my heroine Blu. And I loved the bright wig so much, Blu started wearing wigs in every scene of the book. Fun! But why did she want to wear them? That was a discovery I made about halfway through the book.


So if you put a lime-green wig on a girl she starts walking a certain sexy way, and her clothing choices turn risqué. It was fun dressing Blu. She's color gone wild, and uses it as a defense mechanism much like those ruffle-necked lizards with the wild colors use their bright colors to scare off prey. (Or something like that.)

She doesn't scare off the hero, Creed, though. Initially freaked by her in-your-face appearance, Creed soon learns there's a kind, lovely, and a little bit scared, woman beneath the colorful attire.

Werewolf Alpha, gives his daughter Blu, no choice but to marry vampire Creed in order to create peace between the clans. Neither are very happy with the situation but go through the wedding either way.






Even from the beginning of the story, you can just see the sparks will fly between Blu and Creed. Neither is willing to give an inch, but the fur will fly once the banter, fights and seduction begins. No pun attended.






Creed and Blu are only loyal to their clans but there are more things going around them then either one could imagine.






The danger is all around them yet that doesn't stop each other from trying to use their powers of seduction on each other.






Blu has been hurt more than she would like remember and being married to a long tooth is one of the worst possible things that could have happened. However the more time she gets to know her husband the more he manages to slip into her heart.






And then it happens... All hell breaks loose.






Blu and Creed have to put their differences aside to unite against enemies who seek to destroy each other's clans. Once again, they have no choice in the matter as they work together to keep each other alive.






In the midst of all the danger, Creed works his charm and opens up to Blue to show is bride the real him. Even with her charming ways that could be considered annoying by others unlike her husband, Creed. He has long way to show his wife Blu that he's the one person he can trust with her heart.






More and more I fell in love with these characters as they relive their history and open up their hearts to each other.






Ms. Hauf is one magical writing priestess. This is the first time I've read one of her books and I am in too awe of the way she managed to seduce me with her exciting and intriguing addition her Wicked Games series.






I also loved how Ms. Hauf to her time getting to the love scenes between Creed and Blu. One of my favorite parts were … oops, you just have to read the book for yourself because Michele would more than likely kill me if I spoiled the book for her readers.










Her Vampire Husband will surely become another favorite smash hit this 2010.






I gave Her Vampire Husband a rating of 5 Stars.
