#Authorpalooza2010 --- Guest Author: Donna Grant

I want to welcome best selling and award winning author,

Donna Grant!!

Welcome Donna! Thank you soo much for joining in on my celebration!

How long have you been writing?
Since 1999

How thrilled where you when you heard your first book was going to be released?
Beyond thrilled. I was in shock for a bit. If anyone has ever had a dream and realized that dream, they'll understand how I felt. :)

What's one day in the life of Donna Grant like?
After hubby and I get the kids up, fed, dressed, and off to school, I then head to my office to read emails and eat my breakfast. I write most, if not all, my 20 pages before lunch. Then its lunch, a little more email time (and some Mahjong) before I finish my pages and work out. Answering more emails and chatting with readers on my blog, Facebook, and Twitter.

Before I know it, its time to get the kids and do the after school running around with dance and Tae Kwon Do, dinner, baths, and kids in bed. That's when hubby and I crash on the cough with a long, drawn out sigh before we turn on the TV. :)

Do you have a current project you’re working on or something you plan to begin soon?

I'm working on several books in my Dark Sword series now. Between final galley proofs for FORBIDDEN HIGHLANDER (May 2010), to edits for UNTAMED HIGHLANDER (4th book), to revisions for SINFUL HIGHLANDER (5th book). Once all that's done, I'll be starting the 6th Dark Sword book, DARKEST HIGHLANDER and writing a short story for The Mammoth Book of Scottish Romance.

In your opinion, what is the most difficult part of being a published author?
Having to wait for my books to release. :)

What’s the most rewarding?
Meeting/talking to readers. And seeing my books on the shelves.

If you could co-author a book with any of your fellow authors or anyone from anywhere, who would you choose and why?
I bow down to any author that can co-write a book. I'm not sure I could. There are many of my favorite authors (Lisa Kleypas, Christina Dodd, Shana Abe, JR Ward, ect...) that I adore, but just not sure I could do it. ;)

Describe your writing process.
I don't really have a process. I just sit and write and write and write until I get my pages done. :) I do have a general idea of the book, but I don't plot anything before I begin writing.

What is the most interesting place you’ve ever visited?
Oh. I don't know if I could pick just one. All the places I've visited are interesting. I love seeing the difference between how I live and how others in that area live. I truly loved Napa Valley. The stunning beauty, the romance. Jamaica was so easy going, so calm. And that water. Just gorgeous!

What can we expect to see from you in the near future?
More Dark Sword books as well as a short story in the Mammoth Book of Scottish Romance. :)

I don't think I've read a book about highlanders so it would be a good genre for me to check out! I've read one of the books in the immortals after dark series - though not quite highlander I did love the accent!

I absolutely love reading anything with hunky highlanders involved!!! My favorites (and the only books I've ever re-read) are the Karen Marie Moning highlander series. They are the best and I recommend them to everyone!
