#Authorpalooza2010 Featuring Chris Redding @chrisredding

Check out this amazing author! I would like to give a warm welcome to Chris Redding who agreed to join my authorpalooza. And of course:

Happy Birthday, Chris!!!

How long have you been writing?
Since I was in fifth grade. But in terms of seriously for publication for twelve years. Ever since I had my second child. He brought my creative energy back.

What was your reactions when you heard your first book was going to be published?
I screamed. My husband thought someone was killing me. He raced into the room and I made him read the e-mail.

What's one day in the life of Chris Redding like?
Lance, my handsome pool boy, awakens me with coffee made just the way I like it. He draws a bath for me while Charles readies to --

* GRR!!, I can't believe you stopped there... Its was getting good, lol!) *

Oh, you mean my real life.

That's not so glamorous. I get up about 5:30 with my husband. Breakfast. When he leaves I read e-mail until 6:30. Then I workout. Son #1 leaves for school. I wake up Son #2, shower then more e-mail and social media. Then when he goes to school I write five pages of something. Then I go to work for a few hours. Some days I tread myself by putting a load of laundry onto wash.

Do I lead the life or what?

Do you have a current project you’re working on or something you plan to begin soon?
I'm shopping a romantic suspense called Blonde Demolition. I'm also writing blogs for my virtual blog tour in June. I haven't made a final decision on what story I will finish next.

* hmm... wonder if I can snagged you up on this tour? *

In your opinion, what is the most difficult part of being a published author?
The stalkers. Just kidding. What's difficult is now you have to balance promotion with writing. It's one more thing in a juggling act we do between our creative lives and our real lives.

*Oh come on.. Give me a break.. it was just that one time and I swore I would never do that again. Besides it was never proven in court that I did it... hehe!*

What’s the most rewarding?
When someone tells you they loved your book or that it touched them in some way.

If you could co-author a book with any of your fellow authors or anyone from anywhere, who would you choose and why?
Not sure I could pick one.

Robert Crais because I love his style and heck he bad to look at.

Describe your writing process.
Oh jeez. I'm a panster. I rush headlong into a story knowing only names, goals, motivations and conflicts and maybe how it ends. Watching me write would be like watching Bode Miller careen down a ski slope.

What is the most interesting place you’ve ever visited?
The International Spy Museum in Washington DC. I am not a big fan of museums, but I could have spent the whole day in this one.

What can we expect to see from you in the near future?
Incendiary, a romantic suspense, will be out in June. I'll have a virtual blog tour to support it and maybe even do some bookstore signings.

*Mental note or my to do list: Must come up with blackmail evidence on... I mean bribes for Chris...*

Beside joining us here for Authorpalooza, what else do you have planned for your birthday? I hope you have a great birthday!

Welcome Chris and have a very happy birthday!!! I've had so many wonderful birthday moments, both mine and my family's, but the best one was when I was able to take my son and all of his friends to the skating rink for a party. He had his hockey friends and his school friends, so it was great to video the kids that had never been on the ice compared to the hockey boyz. LOL!
